Hope Estates & Winery, whether for the traditional Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire (weekends mid-August through October, including Labor Day Monday), or the Celtic Fling Weekend (in June), you can see Mistess Ruth's rustic herb garden and purchase any of the many retail items, including live plants. Proprietor of Wellcat Herbs, Ruth Roy—known to faire-goers as Mistress Ruth—gladly offers gardening advice, information on how to harvest, preserve & use herbs, as well as a tale or two on the folklore & magic of herbs and spices. To be on the mailing list for future herb classes, please email wellcat@comcast.net At the Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire, you will find performance art as much a part of the presentation as the herbal products themselves.
