Hope Estates & Winery, whether for the traditional Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire (weekends mid-August through October, including Labor Day Monday), or the Celtic Fling Weekend, you can see Wellcat Herbs' beautiful gardens (featuring a wide variety of 16th century herbs) and purchase any of the many retail items, including live plants. The Rising Sun: Wellcat Herbs has just begun A New Adventure at the PA Renaissance Faire, and here's some more information about it! Proprietor of Wellcat Herbs, Ruth Roy—known to faire-goers as Mistress Ruth—gladly offers gardening advice, information on how to harvest, preserve & use herbs, as well as a tale or two on the folklore & magic of herbs and spices.
