Alpinia galanga Closely
resembling ginger, this exotic herb has been used for many centuries to
flavor vinegar & liqueur, for a spicy tea, as snuff and, in India,
the oil of Galangal is valued in perfumery. It is a stimulant and has
been used as a remedy for sea-sickness. Reputed to tone up tissues, it
is sometimes prescribed for fever. Arabs use it to make their horses

the 1500s a Dutch apothecary used juniper berries as one of the
ingredients to create a new diuretic that he called gin. Thus, for
centuries this berry has been used to successfully treat urinary tract
problems & gout, improve digestion & help rid the body of excess
fluid. Drink 1 cup up to 3 times daily. Caution: do
not use during pregnancy.
